We rolled into camp just before sunset—one truck, a Sprinter van, and a handful of us ready for a couple days off the grid. We were a few miles from civilization, enough to feel the stillness settle in. Just out of cell range. Just into the quiet.
Terry set up his canvas near the fire as the last light faded over the boulders. No fancy lighting rigs or studio setup—just paint, desert air, and the kind of focus that only shows up when the distractions disappear.
We moved around him, getting gear sorted, setting up camp, letting the place slow us down. As the fire kicked up, Terry began sketching the “Unknown Cowboy.” The flames flickered, the wind shifted, and that open landscape worked its way into the piece. You could see it happen.
The rest of the night was simple. Good conversation. A few laughs. Cameras rolling. Everyone quietly locked in—documenting something that felt honest and rare. No production crew, no shot list. Just a group of people making something together.
That’s what “Out on the Weekend” is built on. Not just the shirt. Not just the knife. It’s about creating in the open, trusting the environment, letting the unknown shape the work. The product is only part of it. The rest is the experience.
When you see the collection, we hope you feel a little of that desert stillness—of paint drying by firelight, of tools packed with intention, and of a weekend well spent.
